Meet Dr. Tadrosse

At Nile Eye Care & Surgery in East Brunswick, NJ, Dr. Abanoob Tadrosse leads a devoted team dedicated to providing the highest quality of personalized eye care. Dr. Tadrosse graduated summa cum laude in Biology from Rutgers University and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. He went on to earn his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Research Distinction in recognition of his academic excellence and research achievements. His postgraduate training included an internship in internal medicine followed by a rigorous ophthalmology residency at Rutgers, where he gained extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of eye diseases. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in anterior segment surgery at Arasan Eye Hospital in India, where he specialized in complex cataracts and refractive surgery.

Dr. Tadrosse remains at the forefront of ophthalmic innovation. He has authored many peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at leading national and international conferences, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Association for Vision and Eye Research. He also serves as an attending ophthalmologist at Jersey City Medical Center, where he teaches resident physicians and surgeons.

Today, Dr. Tadrosse provides a full spectrum of medical and surgical eye care. His expertise includes cataract and glaucoma surgery, refractive procedures such as LASIK and PRK, treatment of medical retina conditions, advanced therapies for dry eye disease, and aesthetics. His mission is to blend surgical excellence with genuine compassion, ensuring every patient receives individualized, exceptional care. He is fluent in English and Arabic, with advanced knowledge in French and clinical proficiency in Spanish.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tadrosse enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
